Dear Me,

“You fail only if you stop writing; if you stop dreaming, if you stop thinking about your dreams, and if you stop believing in yourself. Keep writing because you are NOT a failure.”

I wish I could magically make certain things disappear, but one thing I have learned is there are certain things I can’t change. I can only do what’s best for me. Unlock yourself from feeling worthless because you are worthy. Break free from the pain, disappointment, trauma, sadness, and negative things you’ve been told. I need you to understand, it is hard to keep going, but what other choices do you have? You’ve made a mistake, it doesn’t take away who you truly are.

You are truly unique. You are essential in this crazy roller coaster world. You are gifted and blessed. You are uplifted because you are a masterpiece. Start to appreciate who you are, and lean forward to becoming your best self. I wish I can tell you it will get better, but let’s take it one day at a time. I know certain words have cut you deep inside your heart, but I’m sorry that those words broke your heart. I’m sorry that you felt the need to give up on life.

I’m sorry that the trauma has pushed you to believe you are not enough; you don’t have a purpose and to believe you are not worthy of being happy. I’m sorry that you felt lost within yourself. I’m sorry that you lost faith in God. I’m sorry that you didn’t have enough support within yourself. I’m sorry that you feel alone and don’t want to continue living, but I’m happy you are here. I’m sorry that you tried your best to be happy and it feels like it’s hard to smile with too many distractions. I’m sorry that you felt the need to make everyone happy while you’ve put your happiness into the backyard.

I want you to know that in a crazy roller coaster world your happiness matters. I want you to know that you are meant to be happy and I need to push you in the direction of believing in your happiness. With God’s help I know we can get back on track. I’m sorry that I felt sorry for you and didn’t try hard enough to fight for your healing, love, and peace. Let us try again.

Hi, my name is Stacey and I know it’s hard to live life. In the social media world, it seems like everything needs to be perfect to fit in, but the truth is you don’t need to fit in and your brand doesn’t represent being perfect. You are imperfect and that’s okay to stand out. You don’t need to have all the answers, but you need to trust God and not what you go through or what you’ve been told.  I have one question for you and my question to you is shall we start over again?
